Mary Tyler Moore has to be one of the best comedy shows of all time and "A little song and little dance a little ......" one of the funniest scenes from the show.

If there are new co-owners would they not have to apply to the CRTC especially if there was an effective change in control.  If true and the CRTC gets wind they could be gone before they really get going.

If it was their official twitter handle it's gone now.  Someone thought it was or found it briefly because they tweeted at them.  In any case @sauga960 doesn't exist at the moment.

Seems Rogers has now put its stamp on Easy 1o1.  It's now Easy 1o1 3 and it's logo now is a clone of CHFI's.  And it's music has moved decidedly AC.  Many DJ's and hosts moved or gone.  Judging by the facebook posts not many people like the changes.  Country 107.3 has also taken on the Rogers corporate Country station look.

John Biggs is moving to Country 107.3 and has an announcement on the (new) 1o13 website

The 4 month renewal is generally an administrative one while they deal with any issues.  Expect a final decision within that period and if they keep their licence maybe a two year renewal so they can be monitored for compliance.

For Jian there are a couple of things that have not happened yet.  Time, I don't think enough has passed for people to be ready for him again.  Dirty Donnie can get away with his grabbing statements because in the end it did not veer too far away from his perceived demeanor.  For Jian who was probably seen as affable, a nice guy, a feminist and his now self admitted predilections are polar opposites to his perceived demeanor.  Donnie can get away with Jian not so much.

He has not had his Oprah/Barbara Walters moment yet.  Until that happens there is little chance that he will garner much sympathy.  Seeing as he once interviewed Barbara and she gushed over his interview skills she would be a natural.  It could be a fascinating interview.  I am at a loss to name a Canadian equivalent to Oprah.Barbara that would be as effective, certainly not Ben.

Finally apart from his facebook admission to engaging in "unusual" and "consensual" activities he really hasn't come clean about all of this.  While he was properly found not guilty he is far from innocent and until he talks to that there will be little appetite for the masses to hear from him again.

I am not sure after any of this happens I would still be ready because I always felt as a listener it was Jian, his guest and just me listening and if he were to try to recreate that vibe it would seem too intimate.  I am not sure that sort of intimacy would sound right.  To me it would seem a little creepy and that is the realty that Jian is going to have to face.  He is going to have to reinvent himself in a way that is much less intimate to the listener.

As Radio and TV is federally regulated and Family Day is a provinically designated holiday does it apply to those working in this instance.  Don't forget that Postal Workers delivered mail yesterday.  It wasn't a holiday for them.  Corus may have extended the holiday to its worker's to be with Family whereas Bell may have gone with the letter of the law.

CJDL a country station, both based in Tillsonburg

Not that I listen to either really, but hopefully Rogers Engineering will do something with the awful mix or dynamic range on CKOT.  It is almost unlistenable with the way the audio is broadcast.

Buried in one of Bell Media's documents there is a list of transmitters they plan to shut down across Canada.
You were pretty close in your prediction.
-11 Muskoka escaped this time
as did 42 Sarnia/Oil Springs and 35 Peterborough/Bobcaygeon.
35 may have been spared as CTV may be unsure of the arrangement with Corus now that they own Global.
A lot of the Northern Transmitters were hit.

Not Southern Ontario but most Saskatchewan analog repeaters were hit as well as about half of Alberta's repeters.

CBC in London already produces a regional morning show that airs in an odd combo of markets. Wonder what will become of it?

Ontario Morning is broadcast  in London with news inserts out of London on the half hour.  The show is actually produced and originates out of Toronto.  Jennifer McGuire, the CBC management person, that was talking about it on the drive show indicated that there would be a revamp of that morning show.  According the Ontario Morning webpage it is heard on the following:

Bancroft 600 AM
Brockville 91.9 FM
Cornwall 95.5 FM
Deep River 97.9 FM
Haliburton 92.3 FM
Huntsville 94.3 FM
Kingston 107.5 FM
Maynooth 89.3 FM
Midland 89.7 FM
Muskoka 94.3 FM
Orillia 91.5 FM
Owen Sound 98.7 FM
Parry Sound 89.9 FM
Pembroke 92.5 FM
Peterborough 98.7 FM
Shelburne 102.5 FM
Whitney 98.5 FM
Wiarton 98.7 FM
Wingham 100.9 FM

Kingston and Peterborough would now be the largest centres served by Ontario Morning.

Although the verdict is legally correct.  There is enough public knowledge and narrative to know the guy is not innocent.  Don't forget part of his defence at work was a video that showed visible signs of harm to a "date".

I recall reading an article recall saying if he was found not guilty he could start to rebuild his career.  Personally if anyone hired this ___________ I would boycott them fast then I could change brands of ketchup.  If all he can do in the future is be a Walmart greeter then he will be lucky and quite frankly I wouldn't accept a shopping cart from him.
