Unfortunate error but I can see such happening in this day and age. I confirmed that it was the Rydell version  b/c I Shazam'd it . I  listened to the stream on oldies 107.7 Arnprior where the shows plays from 12 to 3 on Sundays.

I grew up in Guildwood at the eastern end on the Scarborough bluffs and it was great for radio and TV with an outdoor antenna. Rochester was  almost regular catch and Syracuse and Erie PA were occasional. I remember just a few skip events and one in particular where the radio dial was lit up with Florida stations.

Around 2016 in the car on the 401 I was getting a Wyoming oldies station and that's the last skip I received.

One thing I noticed a few days ago is that WBFO at 88.7 has added an HD signal at the frequency. I think it's still HD2 on WNED but I was not able to get an HD lock on either frequency to see what's actually on air but I am sure I will be able to do that during the summer and I am wondering if adding the HD signal at 88.7 may improve the non HD signal.

One way to get a clear terrestrial signal of CHML in the GTA is via HD. CHML is HD 3 on 95.3 FM. HD2 is AM 640.

Some neo garage by Flsehtones:Electric sitar sounds fine in the setting.

Lofi by the inimitable Jonathan Richman:

I heard Marilyn Dennis recently on the show but it was a short segment where Roger and Marilyn asked Janet Jackson who discovered the Jacksons and she replied it was Bobby Taylor ( of the Vancouvers).

This last weekend Roger shared a great tidbit about the studio band The Strangeloves and played their original version of "I want Candy."  He mentioned that this studio group tried to pass themselves as sheep farmers from Australia but of course hey were a American production team who made a comeback during the new wave era by working with a few acts. I still have a single they released in the 1960's under the name The Sheep. Just realized I scanned the B-side. The A side was called Hide and Seek:

In all my tapes of CKOC which is mostly the 60's and early 70's countdowns from 1984 I don't remember if I captured his In Touch With Yesterday which is what I remember him from listening through the years. Sad news.

Deep Tracks I love Sometime in Winter. The song was written by and with a lead vocal was by Steve Katz and the last time I heard it on the radio was 2014 when Reiner Schwarz played it on his show on CIUT. The song was on the first BS &T album after Al Kooper had left but it was on their second album and the first with David Clayton Thomas.

Al Kooper and Steve Katz had been in Blues Project. Al left but Steve stuck around for the David Clayton Thomas debut.

Rock and Roll Hootchie Coo- Rick Derringer
Bad Case of Lovin You- Robert Palmer
Africa- Thundermug

I have the Rick Derringer and Thundermug singles. I like the track Jump Jump Jump from Derringer's All American Boy album. That got a lot of airplay on FM. I enjoyed artists like Dan Fogelberg more before their top 40 success when they were progressive FM staples. You can include Poco, Ian Mathews and The Dwight Twilley Band in that group and quite a few more. In fact Robert Palmer's Sneaking Sally fits that bill.

Indie 88.1 is indeed experimenting with their HD2 as they seem to have abandoned the active rock for now. Indie type music but without commercials. Not sure how this will help their bottom line except maybe their car listeners will switch back and forth between their two feeds rather than tune into a competitor.

I don't know if they did a live version of the song in 1969, but the live recording that I'm familiar with was also done in 1972 as part of their Made In Japan album.

Smoke On the Water made it's first recorded appearance on the Machine Head album in 1972. There was no live version released before that. The Mark Two version of Deep Purple that recorded the song had been active for just over two years at the time. I guess before Machine Head, Sweet Child In Time was the signature song for second line up.

Here's some trivia about two of the above tracks. Sail On Sailor was added hastily to the Holland album so hastily that they did not list the track on the back of the album cover. Instead the track that got cut was listed. The Holland album also came with a rather unusual add on. A 45 single of a rather strange fairytale about a magic transistor radio, Glad I held on to the original.

The major label debut of Satisfaction was released on coloured marble vinyl on Devo's first album which I technically still have since I know the person I lent it to many years ago and I am sure they will give it back to me. I have the first run of the album I would guess that they changed it to regular black vinyl later.

I like off air stations and listening to the actual radio and have more of a tolerance for static than most but listening to this station is as easy as going to the internet stream. Despite my misgivings about  internet streams it;s better than any WECK signal one could get off air in this area.

Regardless I will occasionally monitor the FM frequencies and see if atmospherics ever allow the signal to be heard. I tried today and on 100.5 I got the old WVOR out of Rochester which was a frequent catch when the frequencies were less crowded.

Every American city I tried has the same stations one of which is KCKK FM. I googled the station and it's out of Denver and classic Hits. Supposedly sold to a Christian outlet in Jan and a format change was due in March but it seems to be automated classic hits right now but not a bad selection of music for classic hits.

well my question was if the Trump  cult and Trump TV will be proponents of diet Lysol but it seems that Lysol has put a damper on that by issuing a disclaimer that people should not inject their product.

For once, I have to admit the Canadian side had better commercials.

I get you about the annoying American commercials I see them over the air and on cable but the ones that really irritate are the Canadian TV ad avails on cable ( are hey still called that ?). They are constantly repeated and are sometimes out of date. I think I saw a commercial for the Junos on one ad avail after the event had already been cancelled for a few days. I want to pull a Keith Moon and throw the TV set out the window when I see an oft repeated one.

I was flipping through the channels yesterday during the coronavirus benefit and I noticed that on WGRZ they were carrying the Global feed. The concert was on multiple stations and networks. What are the rules for substitutions for such an event.  Event specific or does it depend on what US network the station may have been planning to show at the time regularly ?

Perhaps the Grooveyard was on Saturdays when it began and I am not sure when that was. I have a CHUM Chart from Jan/67 that indicates it was on Wednesdays from 930 -10. I would have scanned that but there's a few doodles on my copy but there is a clean copy of that chart cover at the CHUM Tribute site. At that that age I found the show to be well a bit old and I preferred the contemporary programing.
