Is this round of harsher winter weather, important for local radio to have a live voice on the weekend. After tonight's storm, we have a day and a half break, but then another 20+ cm on Saturday into Sunday, followed up by frigid temps on Monday.

Do you feel it is important to have a live on air person on a weekend of weather that is in store?

I feel yes... and it's vital to share the importance of caring for elderly neighbours as well, when the weather gets challenging. I mean where is Mel Lastman to call in the troops? We just might need his ghost to put in the request from above.

Here is a little humour as to how Toronto deals with snow. It's about 14 years old, yet still super funny..." I put on my Isotoner Gloves and brushed the snow off the windshield, after that I past out".

The world would be so good if it weren't for some people...

Could they be talking about the January 1999 storm that dumped 118 cm over four days? That was the Mel Lastman calls in the army storm. Toronto averages 125-130cm each winter.

There's supposed to be another huge dump on Saturday. If CFTO's weekend news does anchor weather (again!), it will be an absolute dereliction of duty and a huge disservice to viewers.
