Looking at last Sunday's ratings, other than 60 Minutes on CBS,  it was pretty much football or repeats all evening long.  With the exception of a repeat of Doc  which came after the Packers/Eagles game, pretty slim pickin's and very skinny numbers on OTA TV stateside. http://www.thetvratingsguide.com/2025/01/sunday-tv-ratings-11225-when-calls.html

Why waste new episodes going up against a playoff NBC SNF game.  Sunday Night Football has been the highest rated primetime series for 13 consecutive seasons [2011-24] breaking the previous record  of 6 years by American Idol on FOX [2005-11] Plus with fewer episodes comprising a full season now [I think 22 down to 18] they must be rationed. This means plenty of weeks with endless reruns.

Add to that, Football is the only use left for broadcast TV for many, so even if a competing show gets a decent number of viewers, it's going to get swamped in share.
