Ack. The Jays are giving Leafs vibes and not in a good way.

I think they'll turn it around.
I think they'll turn it around.
I think they'll turn it around.

Start times. Game 3- 8;08pm. Game 4- 8;33pm. Game 5-6;08pm. Game 6- 8;03pm. Game 7- 8;08pm. I am trying to be optomistic.

Speaking of baseball, this is something I'd love to see. Unfortunately, I don't plan on being anywhere near New Jersey in the next three days. But imagine being able to watch two of the game's biggest stars at their peak in a long lost original 1955 TV broadcast and judge one of the most controversial calls of all time.

"The Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center is screening a never-before-seen original television broadcast of the opening game of the 1955 World Series (Whitey Ford vs. Don Newcombe), during which Jackie Robinson famously stole home – and Berra famously disagreed with umpire Bill Summers’s call of “Safe.”

Hopefully, it ends up on the web someday.

A Seattle radio host went on an epic rant about how much he despises Vancouver Blue Jays' fans.

It happened after Wednesday's win on Sportsnet 650 in B.C. And KJR-FM's Dave Mahler didn't mince words about a fan decked out in full Toronto regalia.

"I just sat next to some douchebag last night, grown man, wearing a full Blue Jays uniform, pants, jersey, hat backwards, the only thing he was missing was a cup and a jockstrap for his little Canadian balls,” he said.

“I wanted to walk up and kick the guy right in the crotch, just for walking out of the house wearing something like that. The minute this moron walked into the stadium, I wanted to punch him right in his frickin’ Frank and Beans.”

Next time, maybe he'll tell listeners how he really feels. Let's hope he gets multiple more chances.

Interesting how so many non-Rogers owned radio stations on Tuesday morning are taking the audio from Sportsnet or The Fan coverage of the game and not giving credit. Some are also airing the Fox Sports calls. They really shouldn't be allowed to do that, but the rules on giving credit seem to have been completely forgotten.

Ironically, the only acknowlegement of audio I heard in the morning came from Rogers' 680 News, which ran the French call of Springer's home run - and gave credit to TVA.

CFRB's morning news anchor Stuart McGinn has confirmed he's taking all of next week off, so he can enjoy the World Series without having to turn off the game before it ends and get up in time for his early shift.

No word yet on the lucky sub who gets to take his place.

A real nail biter but what a Jays win! My only beef is that when the trophies were awarded, some guy from Fox was doing all the presentations. WTF? I think a Sportsnet personality should have been doing this, or a recognizable Canadian, the Fox mic flash seemed really out of place to me. Trust Rogers to muck it up!

Fox is in charge as per the TV contract.

The presentation airs on Fox too. Fox gets precedence for paying more and having a larger audience....

If ever there was a year for a Canadian win, this is it.

Do you think there would be an invitation to the White House?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

His Majesty King Rump would simply write off the visit as being from the 51st state...

For the World Series we will also get the Sportsnet coverage with Dan and Buck.

I’m pointing this out because yesterday morning I saw multiple claims on another forum that Sportsnet was going to be simulcasting Fox coverage even if the Jays are in it, but Dan Shulman himself confirmed last night that it will be a Sportsnet produced broadcast, like the ALCS and ALDS.

Not only that, it's a first after years of trying.

"Sportsnet has been the exclusive TV home of Blue Jays games since 2010, but because Major League Baseball has always entrusted its postseason coverage to U.S. national networks, no Canadian broadcaster has ever produced a World Series.

But now, after almost a decade of working behind the scenes with the Blue Jays and MLB to secure the Canadian rights to the postseason and to position itself for this moment, Sportsnet will produce the first-ever made-in-Canada World Series broadcasts for its home audience."

But will they win. They certainly have a chance. However. The Milwaukee Brewers finished the season with the best record in baseball plus the best run differential +172. The Dodgers limited the Brewers to four runs in the four game sweep. Can they do the same to the Blue Jay bats? Possibly. If the Jays lose the first two games at home like they did with Seattle, it will be a very short World Series.

The Jays had an odd season. Really rocked through a long stretch of August but played below, at or just slightly above 500 the rest of the season. Hot games and stretches followed by cold ones. Lots of games 10 plus runs, a few of these in a row, then other stretches with 0-1 runs. Handled Yankees with ease. Yet lost series against some teams particularly outside their division, including Dodgers. My gut says Dodgers on this one. But who knows - Jays do have grit and a good all-round team of above average performers. Except the bullpen - it's rather leaky.

As everyone here knows, it takes a lot of people in a lot of different departments to put on a tv show like a baseball game. In Rogers case they own everything from the team to the building where they will play. They are also the video and audio rights holder in Canada, and they own the cable and data lines that we will watch the game on.
I just talked with one of the rogers staff that do the service calls to our home. On every night the Jays are playing everyone is working late.
I am glad Rogers understands that now is not the time for someone to not have a working tv or cellphone.

Looks like former Blue Jay Rance Mulliniks will be joining the broadcast as an analyst.

Jamie Campbell drops hint on beloved former Blue Jay who may be joining him on World Series broadcast

The two walks and three wild pitches in the seventh inning gave the Jays two gift runs. Dodger Stadium became eerily silent after that. The stunned this isn't supposed to happen look on the faces of Dodger fans was priceless.
