She hasn't been seen for a while, despite being the network's #1 political reporter - and there's certainly no shortage of stories these days.

It turns out Stephenson is now on maternity leave and is expecting her first child in September. Her absence comes at a time when the political world is in turmoil thanks to the machinations of the madman down south, and it likely means she won't be back to host her Sunday morning show when Parliament returns in the fall. 

So who's taking her place? David Akin has temporarily been appointed as Global's Chief Political correspondent until she returns. But as of now, there's no set date known for when that's coming.
