Sadly, no. This is from an interview with Martin Short in this month's U.S. TV Guide:

They should have asked me...  I have two complete units! I would have been happy to rent them out!  Heck, if Martin Short had been passing through the area on his was back to visit in Dundas / Westdale in Hamilton, I would even have loaned them out to him....

The ECM-51 went into production and use around 1975.  While they became a mainstay of audio mic gear at CBS Television City, and ABC, they were not the original handheld mics used by Bob Barker on Price, or Gene Rayburn on Match Game 73.

I also read an entry a few years ago that mentioned that Bob Barker really resisted using a wireless handheld when they started to become both reliable and popular. The article stated that Barker was so accustomed to pulling the mic cable and snapping the slack of the cable into position from his early days hosting Truth of Consequences, that by the time he started hosting TPIR, it was just second nature to him.

Martin Short is a busy man these days! I always felt that Triumph the Insult Comic Dog was a complete ripoff of Ed the Sock, right down to the cigar! Down boy!

Sony ECM-51A     Both he and Bob Barker worked them to death at CBS Television City Studio 33 in LA

If only they could talk..  by themselves I mean   I wonder if Dian Parkinson ever made fun of Bob's stubby mic shaft.

Madness takes its toll.  Please have exact change.

I thought I saw on a promo spot that Annie Murphy was a panelist. I may watch just for her.
