The opening of one of the world's biggest film festivals will be filled with Candy.
A documentary on the life and career of the veteran SCTV comic actor will open the movie celebration, a flick directed by Colin Hanks, Tom Hanks' kid, and produced by Ryan Reynolds.
"John Candy: I Like Me [is] an exploration of the life of the Canadian comedic icon. This John Candy film documents his on- and off-camera existence, featuring never-before-seen home videos, intimate access to his family, and candid recollections from collaborators to paint a bigger picture of one of the brightest stars of the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s."
It will screen on September 4th, the opening night of the fest, but if you miss it, there's one other way you can eventually see it. It will wind up on Amazon Prime, so if you subscribe to the streamer, you will eventually be able to watch it.
