I have to admit I was never a fan of the original "Big Bang Theory," now seemingly a daily staple of CFTO's line-up whenever they need to fill a blank space in their schedule. But I don't dispute it was a huge hit, so to each his or her own.
Now there's yet a third spin-off coming of the Chick Lorre show, this one called "Stuart Fails To Save The Universe." It features a peripheral character from the old show with a twist. And this one sounds intriguing to a sci fan like me.
"In it, comic book store owner Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman) is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon. (The contraption is something Sheldon and Leonard worked on after the end of the original series.)"
The question is: will you be able to watch it? It's been ordered by HBO Max in the U.S., a streaming service not available in Canada, although I can't imagine it won't turn up on either Crave or HBO Canada. It may be ready to debut by next spring.
If the original was a favourite of yours, this could be something to keep an eye out for.
At least in this universe...
