Ready or not, the ultra Conservative programming may be spread elsewhere, with the owner of WABC-AM saying he plans to buy more stations in the Northeast and air that station's programming on them.

“We’re going to be buying a lot of stations in the Northeast,” said [John] Catsimatidis. “Whatever is an opportunity, we’re going to be buying it. And we’re going to be syndicating our own station. The flagship station is WABC Radio in New York.”

What will Buddy Shula do if Buffalo is one of them?

He'll get on a forum and disparage WABC and its ownership.  Then he'll shit on you for bringing it up.Of course, I'm just going by last week, you know?

A "stern" warning from the competition?

John would crush him. He's got money to burn and is happy to do it on his pet project. He's not even *trying* to sell ads on WABC. Shula's at least trying to run a business.

Johnny Cats is REALLY overestimating how many people want conservative talk.

And to answer RA's question: If Cats does this in Buffalo, he's going to get curb-stomped in the ratings. If Audacy's WBEN doesn't do it, Buddy Shula WILL.

I don't listen to the talk part of WABC, but dung the weekend they have some decent oldies music with Cousin Brucie, Tony Orlando, Joe Piscopo and Vinnie Medugno shows. You can download the shows as a large .mp3 file after they have aired and listen at your convenience. The downloaded files have far fewer commercials.
