Is Ben O'Hara-Byrne Still With Corus?

The AM640 website indicates his show still airs from 7-10 PM on Corus nationwide, but he hasn't been on in two weeks, with that execrable David Cooper program taking his place instead, followed by a reroll of Ben Mulroney's morning show.

I did hear a rerun of his stuff on the weekend, but it's odd that they would switch timeslots and not run his "Best-ofs" instead.

Is he just on vacation or is he a victim of more Corus cuts? If so, it's a bad idea - for the price of one host and one producer, they get a show that airs on at least five radio stations. I'd call that a bargain.

Interesting. It looks as if the show has been perhaps now reconfigured to a weekend-only thing? His X (formerly Twitter) bio blurb now reads:

Host “Weekends with Ben O’Hara-Byrne” Corus Radio, Sat-Sun 7-11am ET,  6-10am CT/MT/PT. Former bureau chief Beijing/London"

In a post promoting Sunday's show, one listener commented "Great show but you deserve a better time slot! Loved listening to you in the evenings! Corus has made a big mistake not giving you a better time slot!"

Ben O'Hara-Byrne and Troy Reeb are longtime friends.
