With the threatened withdrawal of government funding for PBS and NPR in the U.S., WNED in Buffalo has come up with a new way to raise badly needed funds in case their old standbys disappear - a T-Shirt. (Actually, they appear to be from PBS, but each station gets its own branding site.)

It likely won't make them a fortune, (they're $30 each) but Buffalo Toronto Public Media has three different wearables for sale and my favourite is the one below. You can see the other two here.

Deadline for pre-sale ordering is June 27th.

(Thanks to SOWNY member Mace for the link.)

Sad how a propaganda network like FOX News is the number one cable channel in the US and PBS is considered to be radical and left wing by the American government.

PBS if anything, is turning into an informercial channel filled with somewhat questionable health/lifestyle advice.  The network also features 30 year old videos of Motown and 60's artists performing live and programs selling vintage TV shows like Carol Burnett and Christmas specials with Perry Como or Glen Campbell.

All of this to support the never ending need for fundraising.  The "quality programs" are becoming harder and harder to find.   If the government money is cut, the fundraising and second tier informercial programming will take up even more of the schedule.
