I've long been a fan of Scott Fybush, who posts here as "Fybush," always contributing something interesting about radio or TV. His list of credits include being a newsman at WBZ Boston, an assignment editor at a TV station, and a talk show host in Rochester radio.
He even worked with another SOWNY-ite, Jon Pole of MY Broadcasting. And he runs his own SOWNY-like website called NorthEast Radio Watch.
He was in Toronto for a recent convention and Broadcast Dialogue talked to him about the future of the medium and other Canadian and American broadcasting issues, including the differences in the industry between borders, the demise of CHML, the recent sale by Rogers of dozens of radio stations, what Whiteoaks may have in mind for its new stations, and could CFTR be headed to FM?
A really interesting guy.
