A move by the FCC to help expand HD signals on the FM band in the U.S. is now officially in place. What, if anything, might this mean to stations near the border and even into the GTA? Hopefully, nothing, but with an already crowded band and existing interference, it all remains to be seen and heard.

I answered this in a lot of detail a few months ago here. It's not really a "power increase" for most stations and will likely have little to no effect on any signals on the Canadian side of the border.

Thanks for the reminder. We go through so much material here on a daily and monthly basis, that I sometimes lose track!
