Happened to be listening to Oakley in the car today. (I don't often listen to him but the radio was tuned from earlier).
Anyway he took a call from a guy who said he was a long-time truck driver, but had to quit because of "all the riff raff coming in from other countries and ruining it for everybody"
No comment from the host as the caller kept rambling on.
I don't know about people here but if I ran a talk show and a caller said something like that I would be inclined to interrupt and say, "listen bud why you quit trucking was your choice, no brown or black skinned new Canadian made you... so go truck yourself."
Would I be too "woke?"

This is Oakley. This is 640. Think of all of the methed-up goose-steppers they cater to.

As Elon Musk would say, "My heart goes out to them (then Nazi salute)"

I haven't heard Oakley shut a caller down in about a decade.

Tip for would-be callers looking to get thrown off Oakley's show: ask why he spent so much time grooming Rob Ford. Then drill down.

As a former trucker, I can understand the guy's sentiment. The trucking industry has been virtually taken over by companies that don't care about how the freight gets there, as long as it does as cheap as possible. The safety records speak for themselves. I witnessed several fatal accidents in the late 2000's that were 100% the fault of the truck driver , due to little or no training or experience. It is a well known fact alot of these drivers were sold AZ licences by unscrupulous training facilites . Maybe the caller should have had his racist comments called out, but the issue remains nonetheless regarding truck accidents. Here in Northern Ontario, there were numerous incidents this past winter, and I surely don't need to remind anyone about Humboldt.

I heard Ron James on AM740 say that Pentecostals in Alberta were Nazis (his word) ready to use violence against those they disagree with last Sunday afternoon 1:29pm.

You can complain about these sort of things but I have found the self-regulating agencies to be self-protecting.

Ron is right.
Pentecostels are simular to extremist muslims.
They are both scarry in there own ways.
Out of the prodestents, I like the presbyterians, then the baptists the canadian ones, then weslyian methodists then the reformed church ones.

The true problem was the deregulation of driving schools. That's how we got here.

I found Toronto Mike's recent interview with Supriya Dwivedi interesting. "Talk Radio for Baby Rapists" would well describe 640.

Nobody should ever have to go through what Supriya has experienced.

That was beyond horrible.  I really am glad that's behind her.

I found it interesting that nothing at all was mentioned about her time at Canadaland Commons.  That's where I first remember her from.  I thought when Mike was going through her sequence of events leading to 640, it seemed as though he was about to say "Canadaland", and stopped just short of doing so.  Too bad, because I liked hearing her viewpoints on Commons.
