He has done it all in the biz - as a young VJ on MuchMusic and later a disc jockey in Kingston, Ont.  Now Bill Welychka has a new moniker - author, with the release of the second updated edition of the book about his life. And he's also the starring in a new movie about his adventurous life.

Music expert Eric Alper reviews the book and the flick, giving both rave reviews.

I've worked with Bill in the past. He was always one of the greatest people you could ever want to meet and I hope both of these ventures are huge for him. He's truly one of the nice guys.

Now could someone make a movie about Eric Alper so that we can all figure out who he is?

His bio.

Dare I say that DX was being a wee bit sarcastic since Eric Alper seems to be one of the more high-visibility music pundits around.    Whenever there's a musician death or music-related technology or DRM issue or sales figures spike on a format (like vinyl), you can bet Alper will win that arm wrestle from Alan Cross for airtime.
