He did overnights at Corus and now does evenings across the country on Bell Media's iHeart Radio Talk Network. But Shane Hewitt has tried to be true to his own beliefs wherever his radio journey has taken him.

He recalls his first cross country gig on Corus.

"The original Shift show was something I took over from a host called Drex after he quit...I had been doing some fill-in spots for legendary talk radio hosts Charles Adler and Roy Green, and I also filled in for Drex.

Then, they handed the show to me and asked if I wanted to keep the name The Shift. I kept the name but changed the intention behind the show. I called it a “Shift in thinking” and “a shift in how we do radio.” That’s where the phrase for the show, “radio done differently,” came from."

Shane does a good job, my only criticism is that there are too many rerolls on his show and sometimes they’re horribly dated. Other than that…..!

Well, at least the article writers got the name right.

For some reason, John Moore called him Shane Lowery on the radio this morning. Anyone else hear that?

Is Hewitt a "nom de plume" perhaps? I know Shane was an FM jock at one point, going by Zack Hewitt.

Guessing Moore's a golf fan.
