The usual FM suspects are back on top, with WGR (#5) and WBEN (#6) the only AMs that matter much at all in the Queen City.

I only wish we could get Toronto ratings in as much detail here since Numeris decided to play keep away with the numbers.

From your choice of emojis, I take it you're aware that if a station doesn't subscribe to the rating service, the station will not show up in the ratings.  Ostrander felt his money was better spent elsewhere.

I wonder if WGR's numbers will continue to slide because 1. Bill's season is done and 2. Sabre's are about to finish their 14th consecutive season missing the Stanley Cup Playoffs. A league record. Don't know how well the AAA Baseball Bisons are supported.

Now I totally forgot that.  Thanks for the answer.  Emojis were just because I said WECK instead of heck

I still wonder how well they're doing

The last ratings book I saw a year or so ago, WECK was in the middle of the pack with a 3.5ish share.

After a rather long absence from posting at radiodiscussions.com forums, I noticed Ostrander is back, and currently in a lively discussion in the Buffalo / Niagara Falls / Rochester subforum on the rating services for radio.

Both the Buffalo and Detroit radiodiscussions.com forums can go weeks with nobody posting anything. They were much more active a few years back. Wonder why they seem to be fading away?

Could it be that those two sites only discuss specific Buffalo and Detroit media issues. While SOWNY's primary focus is on Southern Ontario and Western New York, the discussion sometimes touches on television ratings and media in general from around the world if the story is unique or a bit bizarre.

Actually Radio Discussions have regional boards for the whole USA, and subforums for International topics, including Canada.  The Bufallo/Rochester forums is but one subforum.

The Michigan Radio & TV Buzzboard is very active and has a lot of regional forums including SW Ontario.  Both Buffalo and Detroit radiodiscussions use to be busy as well but both are dead now.  Like I said they can go weeks with no new topics or anyone commenting even if somebody posts something.  We yammer on much more about Buffalo than they do.  Sadly RadioWest.ca also seems lighter as well now, since the recent passing of radiofan (Ted Wendland).  Ted was a main contributor and put up three daily features on the site but now they are gone.
