It's been exactly a decade since Giant-FM launched an offshoot - New Country 89.1 - and brought that music back to the Niagara area, a format that was once a staple provided by the now long gone AM 1470, CHOW in Welland.

The station, whose call letters are CKYY, is celebrating that milestone this week, having gone on the air on February 20, 2015, making this week its 10th year on air.
