It's better than the annual All Star game.

Sportsnet is carrying the tournament. Could be one of the last times Sid Crosby will be playing for Canada, or at least that's what some hockey experts think.
Go Canada! 🇨🇦🤞

Not too excited about this one for some reason, and I’m a hockey fan, just hope we’re done with the booing of national anthems.

At the PWHL game in Toronto last night, the US anthem was met with complete silence. IMO, a far better way to handle it.

Yes I agree.  Also you could fold your arms or look down, but to boo the US anthem is only going to encourage this at other games.  It also is going too far.  The issue isn't Americans, but their government and one person in particular.

In the past any NHL or MLB games I have been at when a US team is playing, there are always people who will sing the American anthem.  Sad that this has changed. I also understand that our anthem has been boo'd at a few games in the US over the past week.  Not good.

Hopefully this won't continue.  It could be tense when the Leafs play in Buffalo or in the summer when the Jays are in Seattle or a few other US cities where a healthy percent of the crowd is Canadian.

Is this some slimmed down revamp of the Canada Cup/World Cup of Hockey? I don't understand why it's happening during the season, either.

Hey Binson Echorec, CBC did a great slapshot, erm, snapshot with this Coles Notes on the tournament.

I will be watching this.   It replaces the All-Star Game which I NEVER watch.

The Bell Centre crowd booed most of the opposing players, especially Nylander and Matthews.

4 Nations Face-Off is certainly off to a great start.  Overtime goal by Mitch Marner, and Crosby assisting.  Sportsnet would have had good ratings last night.  The atmosphere was electric but the fans shouldn't boo the opposing team.  What's the beef against the Swedes anyway?

If you're a hockey fan, this is the highest calibre hockey we'll see until the Olympics in 1 year (NHL is returning).

If you're not a hockey fan and want to pass?

No shortage of reality TV on, or you could shovel snow.

It may be high calibre hockey but playing for what exactly? I watch NHL games because teams are trying to qualify for the playoffs to have a chance to win the Stanley Cup. Now THAT is something worth playing for.

The a**hole tenant who moved into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue will just declare the U.S. team as champion. 🤨
