The New York Times examines the future of smaller niche streaming services and finds the future is bright, despite the growing number of them. And the prediction is there are more to come.

How can they be little guys, as the NY Times says when most are owned by big guys?  The streamers are killing OTA network TV and hurting cable.  But the networks and cable are all waist deep into streaming, and streaming is becoming more or less like cable.  

Mix it up anyway you want.  There are only so many people willing to watch and pay for these services or television for that matter.  All that the big and little guys are doing is shuffling the deck, and moving the shiney objects around.
