"Listeners of Bryan Adams Radio can expect to hear the Canadian singer-songwriter share personal stories, handpicked tracks from his catalogue, and share the music that has shaped his more than four-decade long career."

But how long before they run out of music too play? Is there really enough in his catalogue to do this 24/7 for months or years?

Not even The Grateful Dead has enough material for a 24/7 channel (yet they have one on Sirius) without repeats and they have to be one of the most recorded acts on earth.

It's not meant to be a favourite station or anything. Just something for fans to dip in and out of from time-to-time.

It just came up as a suggestion for me on the iHeart app ... although I'm not an Adams fan, I gave it a listen for a few minutes and it looks like it features plenty of music by other artists. First song I heard was Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody", followed by "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" by Spin Doctors and then Adams' "State of Mind".

Josie Dye had a quick chat with Bryan on the iHeartRadio Canada Instagram account and he sounds like he genuinely respects what it takes to get behind the mic and put together a decent conversation with listeners between songs.

It'd be great if he could get Kim Mitchell on as a guest and they could swap stories on living through the 80's and the difference/similarities with performing and talking in front of a live audience during a concert and the lack of instant feedback and semi isolation of helming a radio show.

Just saw a piece on CTV news regarding the channel.  Sounds like Adams is programming it and they will also be playing some of his favourite groups, artists that recorded some of his songs and interviews.  As the info piece also says, today is his 65th birthday..

He was disqualified after stating publicly that he'll be 18 'till he dies.
