He doesn't say why, but on his Twitter feed, Roy Green only notes that he's off this weekend and intends to be back in seven days. It's always a concern, since he's told his audience he's suffering from Stage 4 prostate cancer and intends to stay on the radio 'as long as I can.'
Hopefully, that will be a long time.
In the meantime, the current state of Corus' financial woes is clearly in place, since they don't have a sub and are running the same Ben O'Hara Byrne rerolls of famous musician/singer interviews (like Donny Osmond, Alan Doyle and Shawn Mendes) as they have in the past when Green was absent. I'm pretty sure the parade of reruns will continue on Sunday.
