The show today was a tough one to get through, but I can honestly say that it was my favorite one.
These messages are just so kind and they really help with my peace of mind about the show coming to an end.
To answer the common question about the reason for it ending, it was a Bell programming decision. I don’t blame them and neither should you. Although the show was very popular, it did not bring in much revenue. The sales team never focused on it because it’s a weekend show. It’s unfortunate because the pet industry is a great market to tap into for financial return that could have kept me on the air. I could have focused on it more as well.
In the end, I can honestly say from that perspective that I’m surprised they kept me on as long as I did.
Now if only there was another radio station with an imaginative leader, you know, like say, Mike Bendixen to make the most of this and could relaunch Dr.G's show with the proper backup and promotion.
Ben Mulroney could be a great first guest and tell listeners the story of how their family dog ended up with an unusual name.
