Does Muzak still exist as a service? At one time it was ubiquitous in department stores, supermarkets and public spaces. I once worked in an office where it was always playing. Generic orchestras playing bland arrangements of familiar tunes. Some people hated it. I never minded it. How was it ditributed? Telephone lines?

Muzak was sold to Mood Media way back in 2011 for 345 Million Dollars.

Is the programming the same as it was with the old Muzak?

I believe the correct term is "Digital storage, as needed or requested" but not advertised or promoted.
