I just realized this show, about VOWR, is online for free at CBC's Gem website. It's called "100 Years of Radio," and features an inside tour of this very unusual station and its history. 

Also worth noting that, despite the fact CBC's "Son A Critch" is supposedly set at VOCM, this is where the radio scenes - with its vintage equipment - are actually shot.
