Rod Black was a Blue Jay broadcaster for years, but perhaps the highlight call of his life came in Milwaukee on Tuesday, when he was in the stands as his son, Tyler, made his debut as a Brewer, his first game in the Majors.
The rest of the family had been on vacation in Mexico when they got the call about the kid's debut and they weren't going to miss it. They were in the stands watching, when the Brewers made the great decision to have a field reporter go over to him with a mic and asked him to call his son's second at bat.
And in a you-couldn't-write-it moment, Tyler got his second hit of the game, with dad calling the play live.
You can see - and hear it - here.
