For the second time in the station's nearly twenty-year history, the Kincardine-based "Shoreline Classics" (CIYN-FM, formerly "myFM" and "The Coast") is relocating. The studios for the classic hits "trimulcast", at 95.5 Kincardine, 99.7 Goderich and 90.9 Saugeen Shores, will be moving out of downtown Kincardine and into Goderich; the existing building is for sale, and a video on the station's Facebook page says suitable studio and office space in Kincardine could not be found, hence the move to Goderich. The exact location has not yet been announced, but they are aiming for about September 12th to switch to the new studios. CIYN was sold a few years ago and is now part of the same ownership group as Listowel's "The Ranch" (CHLP-FM 100.1) and Wallaceburg's CKXS 99.1, but under a different corporate name.

I was part of CIYN's first move, back in spring 2010, when the station, acquired by Renfrew's My Broadcasting Corporation only a few months prior, said goodbye to a rather run-down "fishbowl" studio space left behind by the previous owners and Haliburton Broadcasting, who operated the station on the original owners' behalf. I'll never forget how dirty and smelly the first location was, not to mention the fruitflies literally everywhere.
