Not sure why (or if anyone else has even noticed) but there's carrier current at AM 960 but no audio. It's been that way since at least 8 AM, but could have been going on longer. The Sauga960 Internet feed is still there.

Again, I suspect this is the result of automation going haywire and no one being there to fix it. Seems to be happening more and more in radio as we rely on machines and not human beings.

And, RA, apparently their only listener, spotted it. Thanks for taking the hit for us, RA. 🤣

Have to say listening to nothing is sometimes better than their regular programming!

R.A. You're right. More and more I drive the car with the radio muted or off. Twenty years ago I would always have the radio on as there was almost always something worth listening to. Not so much today.

And why is it that I can't stop listening to Virgin Radio Legends UK? It's because they still know how to create a mood and they play a mixture of old hits and less-heard tracks. They don't talk at you; they talk with you.

They're a bit like the very early 1970s CHUM-FM.

Current North American music directors could learn a lot.
