I didn't like the CBC's graphics or guests all that much, and I admit I barely had time to check out Global. But for the most part, CTV got my vote.

 
I agree that CTV had the best all around elections coverage, much more engaging than the CBC’s, which was fairly basic. I did catch a bit of Citytv’s coverage and as RadioActive pointed out, it was local coverage only and pretty well done! Interesting results BTW.

I think all of the coverage was pretty good.  All networks stepped up and did a decent job from what I saw.  I watched CTV the most, they had the best variety of pundits.  A disappointment were "radio guys" John Moore and Bill Carroll and their segment.  Neither of them really added anything to the broadcast and seemed a bit out of their league. 

CBC's David Common was excellent.  That interview with Jamil Jivani was well done.  Why?  Common had the sense to be quiet and let Jivani let fly on Doug Ford.  So many reporters don't shut up and interrupt too much during interviews. His questions to the candidate were well placed and thought out.
 
Common earlier in the evening was in Kitchener Centre and did a unique break from the Kitchener Rangers playoff hockey game.  He mentioned that if any in the sell out crowd hadn't voted, there was a  polling station right in the Kitchener Auditorium, so some could vote during the game.  Great little break and funny.  Was he on the air this morning?  They were kidding him last night that he had to be up at 4am to do his morning show.

CBC's coverage wasn't bad at all.  They had the best looking set but CTV had more boots on the ground and overall I think the best coverage.  Good job also from City TV and CHCH. Global looked ok, but only watched them for a few minutes. 

There is still one television election coverage issue playing out: CTV was early in projecting the Liberal win to be minority government only and Global also made a minority Liberal government projection. But the CBC as of this hour is continuing to maintain that it is too close to call whether it will be a minority or majority Liberal government. The CBC's argument is that there are still 11 ridings that either have final vote counts that are too close and could go to official recount, or have special ballot polls that have yet to be counted, or still have enough uncounted polls to make a difference. It's fluid and the CBC thinks that if the Liberals, now at 168 seats, can still flip four of those seat counts they get to majority status with 172 seats (but the CBC is ignoring that there are a few ridings with slim Liberal leads over Conservatives where the Conservatives hypothetically could still win on final poll counts).

I  wonder if and when CTV or CBC will be claiming ratings victory on last night's coverage.  Right now CBC News Network is coming up #2 on the Bell Fibe tracking and CTV's News Channel is #5.  However CBCNN is still all election coverage (they were live all night) and CTV News Channel is now mixing in other news.
