It's going to be interesting to hear what they have to say after their stock plunged to almost junk status and they've been forced to close several radio stations and fire a number of employees.

The October 25th update will have them release their fourth quarter and year-end results for 2024.

I have a feeling it's not going to be pretty!

If you're curious or have a strong stomach - or if you're unlucky enough to hold any Corus stock - here's how you can listen in.

I feel for Corus, worked for them years back and they treated their staff well.

I feel sorry for them, but clearly there were decisions made by management over the years that led them to this sorry state. Yes, broadcasting isn't the business it once was, but they have been the architects of their own demise. Still, I hope they find a way to pull out of it.

I think as has been pointed out before, Corus was pretty much doomed when they were split off from Shaw.  They don't have the money to pay their upcoming debt repayments.

Yes, they're no better or worse an operator than anyone else. Shaw set them up to fail.

Sadly I think you’re right RadioAaron. There was an article in either the Globe or Star this summer that outlined all the dealings when Shaw basically wanted out. They threw Corus under the bus and laughed all the way to the bank.

In Phase, you got it right a year ago. The whole thing stinks.

Globe and Mail columnist Andrew Willis makes the case that Corus would be better off with its television and radio stations under Pierre Karl Peladeau's Quebecor, rather than some last-chance venture capital fund.
