There isn't a single new network show that I have seen trailers for that interest me, with the exception of NCIS Origins, I may watch the first episode to see if I feel any connection with the younger Gibbs character. There is a few HBO productions coming that look like they may be worth the time.

If you compare the fall ratings on The TV Ratings Guide with what was on in the summer (taking out the Olympics) there isn't much difference in the numbers. In fact some days, the summer ratings, which were filled with repeats and game shows are outdrawing the new schedules for fall, excluding NFL football.

Sadly, the National Association of Broadcasters down south seems to think the answer is more government regulation of streamers, forcing them to pay more for the shows they offer - even if many of the networks are the owners of those sites.

Considering the number of cable blackouts foisted on U.S. viewers - especially from Disney and CBS demanding ever higher fees, which get passed along to subscribers - I'm not sure how well that would work out.
