College students don't listen to college radio. It's the domain of older retired men.

If that's true, no wonder students no longer want to fund college and university radio outlets with tuition money..

100% correct.

Did any Toronto or GTA-area stations go all Ozzy after the announcement of his death was made?

What Does Radio Do When a Legend Dies?

I wouldn't think so.  No Toronto area terrestrial radio station is really into heavy metal that much.  Maybe an hour or so highlighting Ozzy's and Black Sabbath best material, but go all in for a day or more?  Can't see it, unless maybe a college station.  Even then, Ozzy wouldn't be an artist that many college aged people would be listening to.  There could be a streamer in the GTA that specializes in metal, that would be the most likely.

Or you could go to the satellite.

A.I. can do a lot, but that doesn't mean we should put it to use for everything. I'm not sure if this is really neat or in really bad taste. It's an Instagram posting of the late Ozzy Osbourne meeting late rock legends in an afterworld, and it's technically remarkable. But is it a good idea?

Rod Stewart certainly thought so, showing this clip at one of his recent concerts. Among the lamented stars seen in the short clip - Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Jimi Hendrix and Freddie Mercury.

Over the top or amazing - or both?

You can decide here.

It is technically remarkable, only a couple of giveaways in the faces. But is it a good idea? I’m not sure about that for a few reasons. I think it is alright if the viewer is made aware that it is AI, obviously here it is, but I would be somewhat disturbed if, for example, I saw an AI generated clip of my late Mom or Dad, especially if I hadn’t been aware of it. I can see this posing huge issues moving forward. (Corp speak there!).
