It would be a blow for broadcasters to lose what is arguably their biggest money-making attraction. But that's where some experts think the future is headed. Although that may not apply to Canada. 

On the plus side, at least my weekend newscasts and shows will start on time!

 And while on one hand the move represents further progress in streaming, on the other hand it erodes the potency of broadcast TV. And it speaks to a future potential model, if/when the league fully pivots to streaming and cuts out the traditional networks."

Starting in 2025, no NFL games will be exclusively broadcast on traditional TV

It's ironic how companies like Bell and Rogers, by facilitating high speed, all you can eat internet packages, have in fact eaten their own lunch. They have undermined the value of the OTA stations for which they paid huge prices to acquire.
