Respected TV journalist Bill Brioux is presenting two hours of classic television cartoons this Saturday at Westdale Theatre in Hamilton.
Some of the best and memorable cartoons boomers watched on Saturday mornings will be featured. Cartoons from Hanna-Barbera including Roger Ramjet, Dudley Do-Right, The Flintstones, Quick Draw McGraw will be highlighted, along with vintage homegrown productions from Rankin-Bass Productions.
The Westdale Theatre is located directly across the street from where the original Mother's Pizza Parlour was located. Many McMaster students would congregate at Mothers after consuming copious quantities of adult beverages at the Downstairs John campus bar.
I can’t swing it this Saturday but would have loved to watch these Saturday morning classics on a big screen, haven’t seen Rocket Robin Hood in years! (The cartoon with human mouths….!)

That would be Clutch Cargo (a truly traumatizing sight for a seven-year-old)
