He was not a household name in Canada, but was a legend in Boston. But he became better known everywhere thanks to his appearance on the 1961 "Cruisin" album. You didn't have to have ever listen to Arnie "Woo Woo" Ginsburg to appreciate the article recalling his amazing run on Massachusetts radio. (It's also nice that the author gives a shout-out to Jungle Jay Nelson in Toronto!)
This will bring back many memories of listening to a radio station your parents couldn't stand, hearing artists who would one day become legends. A fun article to read even if you never heard Boston radio.
Recalling WMEX's Arnie "Woo Woo" Ginsburg & His "Aching Adenoids"

I had never heard of Arnie Ginsburg until the Cruisin' series of albums were released. I had never heard of WMEX until the station was mentioned in some Toronto papers when CHUM hired Jackson "Supermouth" Armstrong from the station in June 1968. I was never able to pick up WMEX in Oakville. WLAC was too strong.
