I happened to be out early Sunday morning and tuned into one of 680's "on the 10s" traffic reports. It was unlike any I've ever heard on the station. 

Colette Desjardins was introduced by the usual stinger and the phrase "680 News traffic and weather together on the 10s." And then Desjardins came on, telling listeners this report is brought you by -- pause, -- um, by -- pause again -- by -- shuffle papers, dead air. Finally, she found the copy she was looking for and with a smirk in her voice for how odd the whole thing sounded, told listeners it was sponsored by the 407 ETR toll highway. 

And the very first item in her traffic report? Parts of the 407 were closed for construction and maintenance! After all that, we found out you couldn't go on the road that was sponsoring the report in the first place! 

Honestly, you can't make this stuff up.
