How much would you pay for a professionally-taken picture of a famous celebrity who appeared at the Toronto International Film Festival in the past? One hundred dollars? $200? More?

The Toronto Star has opened a web store during the flick fest, and is offering one of a kind signed and authenticated photos from the esteemed photographer George Pimentel. But I simply cannot believe anyone would fork over what they're asking for the various shots.

Photos of the likes of Tom Cruise, Al Pacino, Tom Hanks, and even Ronnie Woods and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones are going for the price of $1,100 each. 

To sweeten the temptation, the Star says only 10 of each pic on offer will be sold, making them rare and presumably worth more money. 

I can't for the life of me imagine who would shell out that kind of dough for those kinds of pictures, which you can see here. I guess it's the same people who shop at Spence Diamonds, where they sell their special bracelets for "only" $2,399. What a bargain! 

Too rich for my blood. But since there's one born every minute, I'm betting they all sell out.
