I think there may still be some LPRTs out there with calls like CBF-16 on 990 or CBOF-4 on 1400.   But of course, they never ID as such.  Not to mention the various CBON-FM outlets like CBON-FM-27 in Wawa.

Probably not very well at the eastern terminus, especially after sunset.    If one has to pay the toll, there must be a less expensive way of tuning in WFIR-Roanoke on a car radio.

For what it is worth, the Ontario Land Titles records show that 2494747 ONTARIO (not "ONT") LTD. owns "102" Rutherford Road South in Brampton.

If Radio One was still on 740, this wouldn't be a problem for the folks in Peterborough.   Or try CBW-990 after sunset.

I suppose they could also listen to 860 and hear something owned by the Corp

I don't see what the big deal is.  Seems to me that they've made fun of Canada in the past.... the CFL draft; Bart & Milhouse visiting Toronto; Homer coming to Canada for drugs; Robert Goulet playing Bart's Treehouse Casino, etc..      It's not like The Simpsons hasn't attempted to pick on other stereotypes (South Asian shopkeepers; Scottish groundkeepers; shady huckster lawyers, mobsters, hillbillies, born-again religious neighbo(u)s, etc.)

Maybe they can become "My AM" and park on a frequency formerly used by stations in Southern Ontario:.  Such as 710, 1090, 1390, 1450, 1470, 1490, 1570 or 1600?     (I guess 1220 and 1350 can't be used if the new St Catharines and Brampton stations ever come to fruition)

The way things are now, it is possible for them to reduce their coverage so that they don't reach Brampton or Caledon?     Does their signal even reach Caledon now?    At night the Cuban Radio Reloj probably has more listeners in Bolton and Palgrave than CKNT does.

Will the traffic reports from WFIR for Roanoke-area roads, such as I-581 and Franklin Road, be of any use to the commuters of Mississauga?

If and when "Grapevine Radio" actually ever gets on to 1220, I have no doubt that Allen Willie will hear them in Newfoundland.  Although he'll have to put up with interference from Radio Globo in Rio De Janeiro (and of course WHKW-Cleveland).

As Saul said,  BECAUSE CKNT is such a trainwreck is exactly why we're so glued to the situation.

It might be the biggest train wreck since the Mississauga train derailment of 1979.

If there was a train derailment today would CKNT cover it any better than CJMR did in 1979?  Does anybody who lives near Mavis and Dundas know that they have a local station on 960?

My 6 presets on AM:

1.  590-CJCL

2,  680-CHFI

3   950 (for potential nighttime DX, such as WAKM, CKNB or CFAM... or I can tune up 10 kHz and listen to KLTF, WERC or WFIR on 960)

4.  1010-CFRB

5   1350 (a good spot to jump from for looking for DX in the 1300s)

6.  1570 (same idea on 1350)
