I thought you might be interested in the peak position of these legendary albums that roamed the Billboard 200 LP chart for decades. Of the 990 weeks Dark Side of The Moon spent on the chart only one [April 28, 1973] was spent on top. The Metallica album spent four weeks on top in September 1991. As of 2016, the Bob Marley Legends album climbed to a peak of #5, while Journey's Greatest Hits reached #10.

Any time I contact Rogers with an issue, they always offer me a call back option if the wait time is lengthy. The return call is always within 2 to 3 minutes of the time I could expect to receive it.

Like RA, I am no fan of Simsub, but being a Rogers subscriber, it is a fact of life. However, paying an extra $3.00/month gets me the Seattle affilliates so most of the time I can avoid simsub. Generally, Rogers is pretty good with the simsub timing. Where they fail is when one of the Buffalo stations decides to preempt programming for a local sporting event which is usually a Bills game. I realize that the nightly syndicated programs are all on timers but you would think a human would be there to make manual changes when necessary. The Rogers Ignite Guide is up to date. Shouldn't be a problem to override simsub when required.

I have Bell and this happens during the NFL season.  While all of the sinsubs are set up by computer the N-F-L teams insist on playing after the three hour window.  So, when one team is on the one-uyard line, threatening to take the lead, zap, I miss what happens and am transported to another game just starting.  The answer is simple....have a real person sitting there to override the simsub.
I complain to the Commission and Bell sends me a note confirming I was right and then dance around saying they have hundreds of simsubs a week.  I really don't care how many they have.  I want my N-F-L.
One case manager at Bell even told me they had nothing to do with it.  He blamed Fox. One of the most unusal simsubs occurred years ago.  I tuned to watch the space shuttle returning to earth when on comes 'The Love Boat.'  It appeared at one point the spacecraft was going to land on the deck!!!

In some cases, the NFL is at fault. There is a rule that states that viewers in the home market must see their team's game from the opening kickoff.  If the Bill's are scheduled for a 4:25pm kickoff and the 1pm game is still happening, WIVB has no choice but to switch games. Viewers in Rochester and Erie would join the Bills game "already in progress" What I cheer for is severe weather in Buffalo where there is a constant scrolll of closures and cancellations across the bottom of the screen. Simsub can't be used in these situations.

It's an exhibit filled with some amazing memories of the days when Beatlemania came to Canada. But for now, the only place you can see it is Calgary. There's no word on when - or if - The Beatles In Canada will come to Toronto, but it definitely deserves a stop in this city.

After all, it's one of the few places in this country where the Fab Four came twice, both times to Maple Leaf Gardens. (My sister was at their second show and recalls she couldn't hear a thing for all the screaming. But the tickets were all of about $4, so quite a deal!)

The exhibit features posters, pictures - many in colour - and an actual on loan cover of the infamous Beatles Butcher Album cover. And there are even 45s, including one that's become famous in T.O.

"We have the British copy of Love Me Do that Ray Sonin played on CFRB in 1962 before the record was released in Canada."

One thing is almost certain: if it ever does get to T.O., it will probably cost more than four bucks to get in.

New Beatles Exhibit ‘From Me To You’ Chronicles The Band’s History – and Fab Four Firsts – in Canada

According to various CHUM Charts, Beatles tickets were in the $4.50-$6.50 range. I saw my first Leaf game in January 1963. [They lost to the last place Bruins 5-2] Centre Ice Blues were $5. Leaf tickets have always been expensive, so those Beatle ticket prices would have been astronomical.

Temperatures in the 110-115 range are pretty standard in Southern Arizona summers. They say it is a dry heat. I can't get my head around the night time lows which range from 88-92 [31-33 for the C crowd]

Lately I have been test driving a few different vehicles since I plan to get a new one before the end of the  year.  I don't know if it is the look of the radio (if you can find it) or just the overall technology of the entertainment systems in new cars.

I took out one GM vehicle that had SiriusXM on the screen.  During my test drive, tried to figure out how to tune in the radio and it always went back to Sirius.  Liked the car ok and when I returned after the test dive asked the sales rep. how do you tune in the local radio.  He smiled and said it was a process, whatever that means.

Also had a Hyundai and Nissan out (not electric) and had no problem getting the radio on in either of those vehicles, and both had AM and FM.  The radios in these SUV's were fine and had graphics to go along with the song and station.

I don't think it matters so much what the radios look like in cars since they are just a screen, the radios themselves don't have "a look."  Best thing radio could do is get rid of the over modulated and amateurish sound tracking and have the announcers actually talk about real things and the music they are playing. And drop most of the canned and dated material about B- listed has beens from Hollywood.

The "Statler and Waldorfs" of the world aka most of the SOWNY members are no longer the target market. The youngsters today apparently do care about the lives of Hollywood B-listers. As for the jocks chatting about the music they are playing? Nope! Shut up and play the tunes. The audience already knows everything about the artist and their music from social media.

What I find interesting is that the majority of U.S. major market television stations still have a sports department AND a meterologist, or at least a weather presenter, available seven days a week. What CFTO offers viewers in Canada's number one market in the area of weather and sports is an absolute disgrace.

I know last night's Trump/Biden debate will surface as a topic of discussion here with the potential of it quickly going off the rails and our moderator having to close the topic. By framing this strictly as a media event, hopefully that won't be necessary. The total number of viewers who watched all or part of the debate will probably be released by Neilsen in the next day or two. The information I am interested in is which network will be crowned the ratings champion. Some past Neilsen debate numbers. The most watched was the first 2016 Clinton/Trump which clocked in at 84M. In second place was Carter/Reagan in 1980 at 80.6M. The two 2020 Trump/Biden debates drew 73.1M and 63M.

When I saw that screen last night, I was a bit surprised. Usually there are only one or two episodes of BBT in CTV's primetime schedule. But then I quickly came to the same conclusion as RA that most people will be watching hockey. CTV could have run a test pattern, if they still exist, or colour bar and got just as many viewers.
