Canadian musician Cameron Whitcomb is being played on both the country and hit stations in my area of Sudbury. 

Interesting. I lived there for 14 years until moving to Northern Ontario in 2024. Unfortunately, I don't get Bell Fibe and probably never will. 

My son attended Canadore college in North Bay, enrolled in the radio course, which he completed in 2015. Part of his studies included doing time at the Rogers FM rock station there. He became and still is, friends with the fellow who at that time was the afternoon drive personality. I had the opportunity to spend an afternoon there as a guest, and clearly remember the guy telling me he was also being broadcast on the Timmins Rogers station, in fact, did live cut ins as the show progressed between the two. So, this news regarding the station in Timmins has been taking place for a decade already. At least as far as afternoon drive is concerned. 

That show is aired in Sudbury on Kiss 105.3 FM. They do local cut ins like Brock and Dalby do also on Q92 . I don't listen to either broadcast . I listen to Morning North on 99.9 , the CBC local affiliate. 

This weeks episode was based on the doula story that occured in Brantford... Doula-duper Kaitlyn Braun finally sentenced to prison | Brantford Expositor    The lady playing the character doing the crime did an excelleant job. Very compelling acting job on her part. 

640 used to have a one hour show on Saturdays featuring a crime story related to Canada. This was a few years back now. It had a female host and was always a well done broadcast. If I recall correctly, it aired at 5 pm. I worked Saturdays and always looked forward to it as well as Roy Green at 2 pm. 

This reminds me of the Arnie movie where he was a cop in the future and the bad guys used an AI video to frame him , I don't recall all of the details or the name of the flick, but it was made well over a decade ago, maybe even two . Almost premonition like in my mind. 

Sportsnet displayed the current score of the Rays-Jays game in the bottom right corner of the screen on my tv during the Yankees-Orioles coverage. I watched the second episode of The Lowdown, and Peacemaker on DVR  during that game and flipped to check the scores during both. 

After last nights 2-1 loss, the Jay's division lead is now down to 2 games over the NYY. The KC Royals have silenced the big batting the Jay's produced this last few weeks. 

I had never heard of Kirk until the news broke of his being shot. I sympathize with his family and loved ones, but he , in my humble opinion, made himself a target. My thoughts are of the young Ukrainian girl murdered on a public transit vehicle with video recording the tragic incident. That video is burning in my mind and it will be a long time for me to get past it. I hope the killer gets raped, tortured and ripped to pieces in prison. I also condemn the other passengers who did nothing to help but run away.  

As with the loss of any cherished soul in our lives, you will never get over it, but you will learn to live with it. My wife and I have not taken a new pet into our home after losing two dogs within a year of each other , the second last year which I had posted about here. On my drive into work and back each weekday , I go through the property of College Boreal in Sudbury, where the SPCA has it's shelter. I pass by  the workers walking the dogs that they have in their care and it does indeed tug at my heart , but we have made the decision at this point in our lives to not have another pet. I wish you well RA and peace be upon on you quickly. 

My son and his wife were at the Sunday concert, he told me it took 3 hours to get back to their car for the drive back to Peterborough. He also went to work Monday morning, and did his 9-5 shift. 

Meloni also starred in a black comedy called Happy! that had a two season run. I believe it was on Showcase here in Canada. If you like lots of blood with your laughs, it's worth a view. happy chris meloni - Search

The only charities I donate to is The Salvation Army , at Christmas time, and the SPCA semi regularly. My theory is to follow Randy Bachman's advice and Look Out For Number One. Randy Bachman Teaches Lookin' Out For #1

John Oakley gave a tribute to Mr Lehrer and played some of his songs on Oak's Monday show. Oakley stated Tom was his hero when he was starting out as as a comic.
