The Mayor is a jerk..You are in an elected position...answer the damn question !
I once had a Mayor tell me he didn't like my line of questioning...I told him " I don't tell you how to do your job..don't tell me how to do mine !" We got along fine after that.

The signal is very noisy here as well. Some kind of crackly scraping sound.
(and that is the best the station has sounded since they ditched Country !

Thanks for posting this. I remember her as Jill Rigby who wrote a Travel column for the Toronto Sun. In fact, I went on one of those "press junkets" with her to San Francisco back in the day . Never knew what happened to her. She was a nice person. R.I.P.

If you watched the Marketplace piece on Big Telecom you know that the various carriers don't answer right away if they recognize the number belongs to a customer. It is "New customers" they are quick to pick up on. Anytime I have to deal with Rogers I do it strictly through their chat feature. There is usually a prompt response .

Instead of testing AI Rogers should be getting its current house in order. I have been without Internet and TV since early yesterday afternoon . Apparently the outage is quite widespread and was caused by a severed cable ... but I am hearing little about it. Fortunately, I have a backup but I feel sorry for those people working from home who don't and are dealing with a Rogers outage for the second time. They have been on thin ice with me for awhile....this may be the last straw.

Thanks newsguy1 for bringing this up again. Been a pet peeve of mine for sometime.
I posted this back in July of 2021 in fact.
Wanted to mention that I am sick and tired of anchors and reporters saying " aye"...when it should be "a"...as in "aye man was killed today in aye crash on the 401" . I hear it constantly . For many , I assume it is just a bad habit but isn't it up to their managers to point this out?

On the topic of Country Radio.....I worked in Country Radio for years and know how loyal those who support the genre are. Some of these Toronto FM outlets almost have " hashmarks" in the ratings...why not give it a shot.? Check the numbers in nearby Buffalo. WYRK Country does very well there .

Scrooge is a 1935 British Christmas fantasy film directed by Henry Edwards and starring Seymour Hicks, Donald Calthrop and Robert Cochran. Hicks appears as Ebenezer Scrooge, the miser who hates Christmas.

The question is , is anyone correcting them? Or is there a great concern about " hurting someone's feelings"?
I used to tell colleagues ...if you hear me mispronounce something ..please tell me. No sense sounding like an idiot a second time .
