Again, at 2:34pm today I heard "In for Alex Pierson from 102.1 The Edge, here's Drex".

I heard one if those "Sitting in for Alex Pierson ..." banners on Thursday in 2pm hour. I wasn't paying attention so I don't know who it was (and have no interest). I just thought at the time it was simply run in error.

I feel so much closer to Europe now. Down with America!

325 ft lbs torque was good get up and go for mid-seventies. As everyone knows the car model was a Formula (6.6L) debadged to appear like the Esprit. I thought I saw a quick scene with the 'Formula' nameplate on the right fender but I couldn't tell you which episode.

To my mind the beginning 2 years were great, the middle got wobbly, and the last 2 years shop worn. (Even when they took Jim out of L.A. for NYC work) The David Chase written volumes are revelatory knowing what he did later. I especially appreciate that all his episodes had some aspect of rock'n'roll or FM radio music in them, even if it was just a set of drums in a living room for no apparent reason. On one of the last shows a character said "I'm going to the Springsteen concert".

The music interviews I am looking forward to are Jeanne Beker discussing sobriety with Roy Buchanan at a picnic table outside The Brunswick House, Denise Donlon with Southside Johnny where he pokes fun at Springsteen for being 'so rich and so cheap' (confirmed by Bruce in his book) Donlon again with a surly, mean and drunk Ron Wood, Michael Williams excellent interview with Gladys Knight. And perhaps Teresa Roncon holding up against Ted Nugent's condescension.
