Survey: Radio Advertisers Are Agitated - Here's What's Next

Dear Colleagues,

Read what local advertisers are telling us in the freshly published Local Advertiser Survey from Gord Borrell.  Hit the survey link in the article and download the infographic.  Then scroll down that page to see what advertisers are saying on More Insights...  

Our advertisers want innovation and accountability - and our thinking that we're cutting edge by combining radio with digital marketing isn't perceived by our advertisers as providing all the answers.

Let's take things two steps beyond the current call for radio sellers to be true "advertising consultants", because many "other media" competitors are already thinking and/or saying the same thing; so that point of differentiation will soon evaporate.

The radio seller that will prosper clients most - and in turn, own greater share of budget and more commissions - will not just be a marketing strategist, but be a business strategist.  

Our perfect response to what advertisers are saying is in the systematic processes that can immediately jump advertisers' revenues, no matter where they advertise.  More of us need to pay things forward, and I'd be happy to freely share.  Ratings or no ratings - any time you can jump local advertisers' revenues by 7 figures in a matter of weeks, separates you from the competition, and eliminates them from competitive consideration.
