When my radio show "People Helping People" got cancelled by CKLW Windsor in 1998 my meeting with the boss was unusual only in that I was cancelled.  I could make the announcement in two weeks.
I would then have two weeks to talk my listeners through their loss.  A considerate act of respect, I guess.

In hindsight, the first two were some of the roughest of my life.  PHP is a soap-opera without the soap.

If you listen for any length of time you know the regulars.  You recognize Judy because of her little kid voice, though she's a grown woman.  Her childlike emotions are so charming as to overwhelm, and they do! More...
