February 13th is World Radio Day, which is supposed to celebrate the medium across the globe. It's an effort of the UN's UNESCO agency and normally it gets no notice in North America, except for a few campus stations. But this morning I actually heard several ads for this "event" on CFRB. Not that it means much, but it's the first time I've ever seen an acknowledgement of it on mainstream radio.
So Happy World Radio Day - for whatever that's worth.

Perhaps CFRB does that because they still simulcast over shortwave via CFRX? (I believe they may be the last Canadian station left on shortwave)

Funny 1060 is still on 6030 SW from Calgary with 100 watts. Why?
Happy WRD!
