This doesn't really come as any surprise, given how Cumulus overreached in its aspirations by acquiring too many stations and inevitably is heading towards the bankruptcy cliff. And it's not just Imus and WABC. 

Their legendary Chicago station, WLS-AM, is desperately trying to get out of lucrative contracts with the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bulls, insisting they're not making enough money off them. Only Cumulus could figure out how to lose money on two of the biggest franchises in modern day sports, especially in a city where the Bulls are practically a religion.  

I fear there is a lot of heartache coming for those who toil for one of the biggest and most bloated media companies in North America.
