Classic Rock And Roll Stories Relived On Local Radio

Interesting show on NT1010 that I never heard before. (Apparently, this was its second edition.) It's called "Famous Lost Words" and it's hosted by former MuchMusic VJ Christopher Ward and CHUM-FM producer Tom Jokic.

The show digs up old interviews of rock legends and plays short excepts of them telling the stories of how groups formed, what inspired certain classic hits, memories of other stars and more. On the last half hour I heard, Mick Jagger offered observations on his relationship with the late George Harrison, Mamas & Papas lead singer Denny Doherty recalled a crazy story about how Mama Cass joined the group and the still intact Bee Gees talked about their 'new' disco sound.

If you like facts and stories about oldies from the people who made them, this sounds like a worthwhile hour.

Unfortunately, it airs between 10 and 11 PM on Saturday nights , not the most convenient time. But if you're near a radio then, it's worth sampling. There's also a podcast if you missed it.
