You Wouldn't Have To Ask Me Twice

Back in 1970 Ted Rogers paid John L. Moore the tidy sum of $400,000.00 to purchase the signal  at 680 on the dial.

Of course this was great news for Rogers and great news for John Leigh Moore - or was it?

Being a local yokel and a big fan of John Moore's CHLO - St, Thomas  the move caused the station to be almost unlistenable at times.

Certainly at night when school age kids like me could listen - it was often the shits

From a power house rocker to fading in & out and I lived 20 miles away

So I wanted to see what caused John Moore to make that deal -- I think I found my answer

The Bank of Canada inflation calculator tells us that $400,000.00 in 1970 is today valued at:

                                 $2,574,509.80 !!!!!

Wow

Well done Mr. Moore!!!!
