Why A Local Radio Station Has Become The Hub For That Missing Plane

From a missing Malaysian airliner to a lost, depressed parrot, this radio station really serves its listeners. Not bad for an outlet on a remote island that started in somebody's basement.

“The DJs can’t be acting like stars,” says the white-haired station owner during an interview at Freedom’s studios, a whitewashed villa on a quiet residential street in Réunion’s biggest city, St. Denis. “The only stars are the listeners.”
